Jack Henthorn
Jack Henthorn has over 28 years of combined public and private sector experience in planning, land use entitlement and project management in San Diego County. As principal of Jack Henthorn and Associates, Jack has provided services for a broad array of projects from small in-fill subdivisions to major master plan areas. He was responsible for successfully forming Redevelopment Agencies and implementing redevelopment programs in the Cities of Chula Vista and Carlsbad prior to establishing his own firm.
While directing Henthorn & Associates, Jack has successfully provided services to projects ranging in size from individual residential parcels to large master plan areas made up of multiple ownerships.
Bryan Bennett
Bryan Bennett, Senior Planner, graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a B.S. degree in City and Regional Planning. Bryan has an extensive background in site and architectural design stemming from his studies at Cal Poly as well as his A.S. degree in Architecture. He is also well versed in construction management, economics, natural resource management and planning theory. In addition, Bryan is highly proficient in all of the state of the art computer applications including 3D modeling and CAD.
Bryan’s primary role at Jack Henthorn & Associates includes project coordination and management, preparation of major planning documents, preparation and coordination of exhibits for planning documents and presentations, and the processing of land use development and entitlement proposals through local, state and federal agencies. He has developed facility management plans, master plans and land use feasibility reports for residential, commercial and industrial development uses ranging in size from 2 to 3,000 acres. Bryan’s broad based knowledge and experience ensure that project issues are addressed and resolved in a comprehensive manner.
Gregory Moorad
Gregory Moorad, Associate Planner, graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a B.A. degree in Urban Planning. He also earned an A.A. degree in Geography from Modesto Junior College, and possesses a California Real Estate license. Gregory has substantial experience in public and private-sector land use planning, real estate development and project management. He has worked in a variety of positions in the fields of planning and real estate development and possesses a broad understanding of these inter-related fields. Gregory has special expertise in development feasibility analysis, strategic planning, entitlement/permit processing, project management and public relations. He also has extensive experience in analyzing development plans and regulations, preparing various planning documents, reports and exhibits, and making public hearing presentations.
Gregory’s primary role at Jack Henthorn & Associates is processing development permits through the government approval process. This involves coordinating with various government agencies, committees, hearing bodies and neighborhood groups and assisting their project review. This also involves coordinating the preparation of project plans and special studies with project team members and sub-consultants, and coordinating public hearing presentations. He also conducts feasibility analysis of proposed development, strategic planning, environmental review, and development plan review. Gregory’s extensive experience in the fields of planning and real estate development has given him the knowledge and tools necessary for the successful planning, permitting and implementation of development projects.
